The La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's website provides detailed registration and identification requirements.

• You must have resided inside the City limits for the 30 days preceding the election can register and participate in an election.

• Registered voters who lived in La Plata County and who have moved into the City and resided here for the 30 days prior to an election must change their legal address of residency with the County Clerk and Recorder.

• Registered voters of the City who have moved to another City address need to complete a change of address with the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder before signing a nominating petition.
