Contractors License 

Contractors doing business within the city limits of Durango are required to obtain a City business license.

Excavators are required to obtain a City business license and are also required to have a current $5,000 Excavator's Bond on file in the City Clerk's Office.

Plumbers are required to obtain a City business license and are also required to provide the City Clerk with a copy of a Master Plumber's license and a $5,000 Bond.

License fees for home-based businesses are identical to those for standard or seasonal licenses, depending on the needs of the applicant. The Special Use Permit needed to operate a home-based business requires an application for a Special Use Permit through the Planning & Community Development Office.  There may be a one-time $50 review fee required.  The fee is assessed for administrative reviews that involve potential commercial impact to the neighborhood and public noticing to affected property owners.
