Animas River Trail North

Animas River Trail
North Extension
Animas River Trail

An extension of the Animas River Trail north of 32nd Street to the northern City limits near the Iron Horse Inn has been in the planning stages for more than a decade. Since 2008, The City has held a number of public meetings to present and discuss the trail extension with property owners, community residents and City officials. The proposed trail alignment parallels the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad tracks as it heads north and includes several track crossings.
