The Water & Wastewater Divisions provides operation and maintenance of all aspects of the water utility transmission and distribution system, as well as the collections (wastewater) system.

Report a Water Leak or Sewer Overflow:

Please contact the Public Works Department at 375-4801 to report a water leak or sewer overflow.  Call the Police non-emergency number at 385-2900 after hours.

Utility Locates:

All request for utility locates must be requested through the Utility Notification Center of Colorado at 1-800-922-1987.

Interruption of Water Service:All request for interruption of water services (water shut off) must be approved by the Director of Public Works:

1. Complete an Interruption of Water Service Interrruption form
2. Contact Condy Gurule at 375-4881 for map of affected customers and schedule of water interruption.
3. Submit form to the Public Works Department at 1235 Camino del Rio for approval.
4. Notify effected customers 24 hours prior to the interruption. 

Use of Fire Hydrants Rentals:

Contractors and individuals can rent the use of fire hydrants for a fee.  A Fire Hydrant Rental form must be completed. The rental is for up to 6 months at a time.  Please visit the Public Works Department at 1235 Camino del Rio for rental arrangements and payment.

Purchase a Water Meter:

A Receipt to show that a building permit and the plant investment fees have been paid is required before any meter(s) will be sold to the public.  Meter(s) can be purchased at the City's Warehouse located at 105 Sawyer Drive from 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call 375-4906 for meter prices.
