General Purchasing Information

All City formal bids and specifications are available online at BidNet's Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing website. If your business is interested in providing goods or services to the City, please register with Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing.

The City of Durango maintains a competitive bidding process in accordance with Federal and State laws, regulations, and Municipal ordinances. It is the Purchasing Division's policy to encourage the participation of qualified vendors in the bidding process. Preference may be given to local bidders when not prohibited by the funding source.

Types of Solicitations

The City of Durango utilizes several types of solicitations in its procurement process. For more information refer to the City's purchasing policy.

Surplus Equipment

The City of Durango may dispose of surplus equipment by transferring it to another government agency, auction or online auction, competitive bid, trade-in or donation.  Scrap items may be sold for content only (scrap metal, aluminum).
