Recycled Mulch

FREE WOOD MULCH FROM The City of Durango!!!

Free Wood Mulch will be available between 9am and 2pm on the following dates:

City Residents* Only:   April 27th & 28th
and
  May 4th & 5th

Non City Residenst:    May 11th & 12th

*City of Durango residents will need to provide proof of residency with either a City of Durango utility bill or driver’s license.

The wood mulch pile is located at the old Van Dal landfill approximately ¾ mile past the end of Tech Center Drive. This is a narrow gravel road, so please drive slowly.  City equipment will be on site to load large quantities of mulch.

The recycled mulch is created from Spring and Fall cleanups and Christmas tree collections. The average size of a wood chip is about 3 inches.
